Thanked: 1The appropriate answer to a woman is always a question of the same sort involving shoes, eyeliner, etc.

My wife will not buy makeup, shoe, or clothing for herself. I can’t seam to force her to. She also doesn’t want me to sell any of my razors, but is she caught me buying new ones she would launch into a tirade about me wasting so much time and money on those #$#@% razors and stop talking to me for about a week. That is why I sneak my razors into the house.

Thanked: 9I like the "I love you too" - with a sincere smile (how can you not be laughing anyway - you just got a razor) and a hug - she would have to be very seriously pissed to reject this
Nevertheless, sometimes you just have to stake your territory. Marriage is full of compromises, for sure - but with some ladies, it seems that they take it closer to dressage
Cheers

My wife and I are going on a mutually agreed upon, self-imposed austerity period to beat down some debt in short order.
The question came up insofar as I am the first to rant about chotchke collectors...all the while I build up an arsenal of straight razors (with a large number of yet to be sold DEs).
If I'm not a collector...then why do I need them? It's hard to rationalize "need" when you're most recent razor has single slab mother of pearl scales.
I'm not a collector...there's just some stuff I like?
I suppose denial isn't just a river in Egypt."But you're not as confused as him are you. I mean, it's not your job to be as confused as Nigel. "

Thanked: 0Has anyone used this one yet?
I actually have gotten a lot of mileage by just telling the wife,"Well I could be out spending money on beer, womanizing, and away from home till late"...
She inevitably tells me that I have a point, and I never hear another word....

I still haven't figured out an answer to this one. Maybe I should develop a few bad habits, then use them as leverage...
My problem is that she counts the Zeepk as a razor. No matter how much I explain, she always counts it.
"Why do you need so many razors?! You can only use one- it's just shaving. I love how good the shave is, but you don't need more than one."
Really, I can deal with the question when it's just a regular conversation. But fights? Eww, she may as well slice me up with my Wapi cuz I'm defenseless.
