Thanks a bunch Randy! That video was awesome! Too bad my German is so poor I could not understand much of what was said but a lot of the film needed no words to be totally worth the watching . Awesome post!

That was very informative. I noticed my honing needs refining. The lady making these shave ready was putting a little muscle into her back and forth strokes.

I was warned against this a couple of years ago. Howard "Perfect Edge " watched the video and per my question.
He mentioned that this is universal practice in many blade factories. He said this will give you a "factory edge" . The lady spends much of her days working with razor blades. That speed could lead to a major screw up . hone scratches might not be perfect too. I'd stick to a basic x IMO. MikeB

Randy thanks for posting the vid ... I really enjoyed watching that .
I think I was expecting some flashy modern production line , it was great to see a small group of craftsmen and women in a small almost cottage industry like premises , wish I understood German tho
