    Daily shaves, exclusively with a straight since October 2005...~850 shaves. Most of them comfortable; some of them quite memorable; all of them enjoyable.

    I guess I'm at around 400. I did dabble with doing 1 pass in the morning and one in the evening for a bit but not long enough to make a difference.
    Before the crash I think I was at about 1 post per shave. Now its a bit higher.

    I have been shaving with a straight now for about a year. About 4 shaves a week minus a few DE shaves. I would say I am at about 185

    Maybe I'm not a skilled shaver (still mostly trust only my right hand), but, I started straight blading about 10 years ago, switched to a DE about three years ago, and returned to mostly a straight around 6 weeks ago. No matter the blade, I shave at least twice, but usually three times each morning before leaving the house -- does that count for one or three shaves each day? I usually lather up 6 days a week. So, that's 312 mornings / year X 7 years (x 3?) Regardless, I'm still a newbie. RalphS
