Thanked: 0HandAmerica...Defunct?
Placed an order on their website a few days ago. Haven't been charged for shipping yet. Sent an email, haven't heard anything. Am I the fool who puts nickels in a decorative antique coke machine?

Thanked: 3I sent a couple of e-mails and never received a response either. I was told by someone that knows the owner that the best way to contact them is by phone. I didn't try that approach.

Hand American
Recently got a couple strops from Keith. Took quite a while and I like you was becoming concerned so I called him on a Saturday morning. Keith was most helpful- provided tracking number and followed up from his end also. Items arrived a couple of days later and it was well worth the wait as his strops- both leather and felt- are excellent. Keep the faith.

No, not gone. Keith has been known to "disappear" for periods of time while catching up on business. Try calling the number, or try to be patient (yeah, I know how that can be
). Heck, anyone else remember when the website was down from any sale for months last year?

I recently ( last thursday, I think ) exchanged E-mails with him thanking him for the strop donation to the Ohio give away. He is still around, but it seemed as though he was real busy getting some business taken care of.
With that being said, his new strop with hard felt and suede leather is SWEET. The spray on chrome-ox for the felt is extremely easy to use and great for a fine tuned edge.
Be patient, it will come.

Thanked: 2Cool. I am anxious to give the .5 paste a try. You know, the whole obsessive pursuit of the perfect edge thing.
