Sending private messages
Is there a new way to send a private message to someone? I
can't figure out how to do it. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Are you deleting your PM's on a regular basis? If not your PM box might be too full to receive or send PM's!?
You have a maximum capacity of 200 PM's

Yes I do delete them on a regular basis. It seems
since the changes there is a different way to send
someone a pm.

I just figured a way to do it, but I thought you were able to
click on someone's username and it gave you the option to
send them a pm. Thanks for the quick replies.

I can't seem to use this method anymore either. What I am doing now is just going to my pm box and then click on the link on the left that says something like "send user a message" then just type in the username that I want to send the message to. If I get a message from someone then I can just use the "reply" button.

Thanked: 1587Well that's weird. No problem of that sort for me - the old "click on a username in a post" method works fine.... What browser are you guys using?

John,
I haven't noticed any change in it's operation using FF under XP... PM's work the way they always did for me too. What browser/OS are you using? Are the "changes" you are referring to something you did? eg, a new version of your browser, perhaps a new add-on or change to a security setting?
On the SRP end, there has been no updates applied to any forum software on SRP for a long time. There were a couple additions which are pretty much stand-alone modules... eg, adding the Casino features, the shoutit box, and the changes to the profile page. There was also a couple configuration changes... one was to display the moderator column, another disabled all but one of the skins (leaving the most popular one, steelblue), one deleted flashchat from the navbar, and of course there were moderator assignments, etc. But nothing related to being able to click the avatar and see the menu where you can select sending a PM.Last edited by azjoe; 04-06-2008 at 02:27 AM.

i usually click on the little "pawn peice" next to the users name that indicates if they are online or offline. when i click that "pawn piece" it gives me a drop down and a choice there is to send a PM.
