Dont have time to go through all 7 pages, but there is a straight in an episode of Rescue Me and the Cheifs wife trys to commit sucide with it.

Also there is a Dali film where a lady gets her eye cut out with one.

Just watched a modern-day western made for the hallmark channel called "Mail Order Bride".It has a straight razor scene that's so badly done the guy holds the razor at about 60 degrees and drags it up his face spine leading.

Just caught the original Planet of the Apes.

Charles Heston gives himself a shave at the end using a knife.

I also saw Barry Lyndon (which has previously been cited on the thread) who uses a straight towards the end of the movie as well. My wife gave me a knowing look when she saw the straight...

The french films about Marcel Pagnol's childhood, La Gloire mon Père (you don't really see the shave only the lathering..but we all know what goes on there) and the sequell Le Château de ma Mère (where we actually see the shave).

I bet that if I start thinking about this, I can come up with a few movies. For instance, in Key Largo, Edward G. Robinson gets a shave with a straight as he talk about his racket.

    Al raz.

I'm surprised this one did not come up when The Professionals with Lee Marvin was mentioned:

In The Big Red 1, it opens with Lee Marvin shaving in the trenches during World War 1.

In a VERY brief scene from Band of Brothers (I think that was it), when the paratroopers are getting ready to board the planes for the Battle of Normandy, one trooper is shaving the hair of another in to a mohawk using a straight.

Does this count: Apocalypse Now, almost at the end during Marlin Brando's monologue, he talks about a worm(?) "crawling along the edge of a straight razor..."

And another movie where a straight is at least mentioned: Flight of the Intruder, Danny Glover renames one of pilots from "razor" to "straight razor."

Geez: do I watch enough war movies??

Of course it counts! To quote Depeche Mode, "Everything counts in large amounts".
