if i remember correctly, Predator also had a scene where someone took a disposable razor and pushed it so hard into their face that the razor snapped and blood dripped out. it only stands out because the effect was very easy to figure out. there was a sponge on the razor where the blade should have been and the actor simply pushed.

Thanked: 586Somebody help me out here. I remember one of the many Tarzan flicks a scene where the ape man had been brought back to England and was learning to shave. He was repeating, "ray-zor, ray-zor" as he held a straight. Which of the later Tarzan movies was that?

High Plains Drifter has a good straight razor scene in it. The barber's hands looks like mine after a few cups of coffee in the morning. LOL, I could never be a surgeon!

in The Great Race by blake edwards, tony curtis shaves with a straight, does all the lathering and everything, then actually shaves. I'm guessing he's old enough that it could have been real. the movie was set in the 19teens I think.

In the first season of the TV show "Heroes", Sylar shaved with a straight razor too. And then of course, the greatest show of all time, HBO's Rome used them on several occasions.
