Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but as I'm sitting here enjoying a couple of old westerns on cable, I notice Clint Eastwood sitting down for a barber shave in High Plains Drifter. Unfortunately, he got lathered up, but was interrupted when he had to waste three bad guys; this is what happens when you don't get proper beard prep, as the barber failed to do

On now is the classic War Wagon with John Wayne scraping off the stubble in his long-johns and a gun belt (of course). Perfect way to spend a Saturday evening!

Default Two More, just read though all pages..........didn'nt c 'em.

In first several minutes of John Carpenter's "The THING", one of the SWEEDS had done himself in with a str8. And Scott Glenn Shaves off his beard with a str8 on K-2 in "Vertical Limit".

There's one scene in "The Lighthorsemen"(awesome movie with lots of horses) were Gen. Murray finishes up on a straight shave while smoking a pipe in their camp in the dessert.

Trading places, denholm elliot doesn't do a horrific job of acting a straight shave on dan akroyd

Battle Star Galactica, last couple of seasons, Baltar is occasionally seen shaving with one by dragging a blade down his skin at 90 degrees

In "The Seven Year Itch" the main character (played by Tom Ewell) has a brief conversation with his boss while his boss is shaving with a straight. (There is a basin installed in the boss's office). It looks convincing to me, although he only does a few strokes - and seems to forget that he has a razor in his hand while talking animatedly.
