Going to London
I wll visit London with my wife in a couple of weeks.
She was reading one of those travel books to find which places we should see.
One of her suggestions was 'Taylor of Old Bond street' which is supposed to be a shaving shop with lots of neat stuff.
Of course I agreed, but it got me wondering: are there any other interesting shops in the center of London which would be worth checking out?Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

I hear there's a Trumpers and a Taylors somewhere. Haven't been there though.

St James Street is a must! There's T&H down the bottom end (loads of paraphernalia, but why not book yourself a shave whilst you're there?) and on the opposite side of the road is the original DR Harris -- looks just like a pharmacy from 1800. And your wife will enjoy it too when you take her for afternoon tea in the Ritz at the top of the road, or even Caviar House if you're really unlucky.
There are also loads of high-end traditional English clothing stores (you know, with hunting equipment and stuff) etc. on the same road. May not be everyone's taste, but fascinating to look in the windows.
Nearest tube is Green Park, but if it's a nice day you're better off going to Oxford Circus and walking down Regent's Street all the way to St James. It's a 20-minute walk, but with all the shops and stuff to see you'll take longer, and your wife may well have spent all your money by the time you reach St James!

Penhaligons is another good one to visit, they seem to have several shops in London.

Other than then, Trumpers (Jermyn St. and Curzon St.), Truefitt & Hill, Taylors of Old Bond Street, possibly others.
