Default It's a RAD, RAD, RAD world

Sorry if this has been done but I'm curious - at what point did you get your RAD under control? I still haunt ebay and antique stores but I've gotten the obsession under control at an even dozen. How many ya got?

You're a loaded gun waiting to go off!

    RAD is incurable.

At this point, I have one dozen razors. Two (4/8ths DOVO Classics) are no longer in use. HOWEVER, errrrr I do have (God Help me) SEVEN custon razors being made into a 7-day set (with different wood scales, all else remaining the same) by Robert Wiliams. They are of his English Classic model.. The 'hump' day razor will be Pink Ivory scales with abalone inlay.

40, with three on the way.

These are all "shave ready" + I have about 18 more in various stages of repair or restoration.

I did sell about 18 on Ebay last December.

    I love them all!

    * Yes, I have plenty of razors, and I really don't need any more, BUT I find I am really hooked on buying a relatively cheap razor on Ebay (less than $10.00), spending a couple of hours, or more polishing it, only to discover a beautiful, NOS, razor beneath all the dark marks and the patina. I will re-pin it and put on different scales, if needed. - and, then, to spend an hour + to sharpen it. Then I will dream of the razor that night waiting for morning so I can shave with it. Then "the moment of truth" the next morning - when I take my 1st stroke with my new NOS razor, saying "OMG" this is great!" -

** This is the reason I am hooked, and why I can't seem to quit buying razors.

(do I need help?) - Well, there are a lot of things that are a lot worse than being hooked on than the world of buying, restoring, & collecting str8 razors. I have tried a few of those, and they did not work out!!!

*** Actually, I am a piker compared to a lot of guys. 40 - 50 is a pittance compared to those who are really serious. You know who you are.

    Steve
