    I just had the most positive experience with a vendor and feel I should share it. I recently purchased a razor from Jim @ vintageblades.com and as a treat to myself ordered the honing option. After shaving with the razor, I was less than thrilled with the hone job. I emailed Jim assuring him that I was not dissatisfied with him, the razor, or his service (the best I've experienced with an on-line purchase), but informing him of the condition of the edge, which I had already corrected. In practically no time Jim responds and makes it clear that my complete satisfaction is his paramount concern. This is the kind of honorable merchant with whom I can do business again and again.

    So, are you saying that he refunded the cost of the honing service, or am I missing something?

    Yes and yes. He did what too few internet vendors do; he expressed concern, made it clear with word, tone and deed that he wanted me satisfied, and did it fast. The refund was NOT what impressed me (I did not request it).

    Very impressive indeed! It always floors me the level of service and concern of the vendors related to this forum - in an age where the "corporation is always right," and you have to fight for what is rightfully yours, it is not only refreshing, but downright jaw-dropping to deal with such pleasant and honest folks.

    I have been very impressed with VintageBladesllc as well. Great customer service, responsivness to inquiries, and fast shipping. It's a pleasure to deal with vendors that put customer service first.

    I pretty much deal with vintage blades exclusively when they have the product I'm looking for.. although I admit I purchased direct from Truefitt and Hill recently since they sent me a 15% coupon..
