Glad you're alright. I've been there, so has my brother and so has my father. Both of them broke theirs 2x on motorcycles. I've only done my left.
Worst break there is as far as I'm concerned. The only plus side is it's even stronger than before after it heals.

Ironically, I was in a motorcycle accident and only ended up with a scraped knee.. Ofcourse I was wearing my gear but I neglected to put in the knee inserts for the riding pants.. Still, the kevlar lining did its job and saved me from real rash.
