    Default Getting back into the game

    Hello gentlemen. It's been a while since I've participated in the community and since the SRP community has always been like a family, I felt obligated to let you gentlemen know what's been going on..
    I have been in a car accident. My car got t-boned by a pickup truck and long story short -- my collar bone ended up in 3 pieces, which have been put together with a metal plate and 8 screws since then.
    I went back to school so I can have the missing courses to make me eligible for a professional association membership, so I can carry on the family business, since I have been working in the industry anyways. It was rough since typing was painful, so I limited it to my schoolwork. While I couldn't really participate in the forums, I have been answering all of my pm's.
    Shaving was also hell. Started with the electric that has been collecting dust for years and once I was well enough, I started doing blind DE shaves in the shower. But that's all over, gentlemen..
    Tomorrow, the sling is coming off... But tonight.. My whole rotation has been touched up both on the Norton and on the Cr2O3. After tonight's shower, the Wapi (wtg) and the TEW (atg) are comin' out to play!

    Glad to have you back and sorry to hear about your accident! Thankfully it wasn't worse. Now you're complete again since you can shave with real razors.

    Wow, that's some news Ilija!
    I know you will be just fine - nothing a bottle (or few) of serbian brandy can't fix !
    Well, wish you quick recovery in the last stages and good to have you back. If you need anything, just holler.

    Welcome back Ilija - glad to hear you healed up, and that it was a car accident as opposed to those damned silly motorcycles you young fellas insist on driving nowadays!

    I guess you want to catch up on the news from the forum. Well, to summarize:

    (1) There are no coticules left anywhere in the world;

    (2) There are no Fillis left anywhere in the world, except for some Spanish guy on ebay who sells them for 600 USD a pop;

    (3) No one has given me a Lancet yet.

    Well, I think that's it. Good to see you up and about.

    James.

    Glad to have you back. I'm quite sure straight razor shaving can be fit in to be part of reconvalescence physiotherapy!

    Glad to see you back - we need all the Canadian representation we can get!

    Sorry to hear about the car accident - hopefully you're feeling better and that your first straight shave in a good long while will provide a much needed pick-me-up!

    Welcome back,
    Mark

    Thanks for the warm welcome-back gentlemen.. Now I'm definitely glad I have a Filly in my rotation and that I'll easily find a buyer for the coticule that I don't use
    I'm almost back to normal, range-wise.. Gonna see the doc in about an hour and I'm assuming he'll tell me to take off the sling and start working on my strength.

    The fracture has officially healed... Now it's time to pick up some dumbells and start working on my muscle strength. Here are the x-rays from all 4 stages starting from the top-right and going clockwise..

    1 -- Right after the accident.. No separation and you can see the glass fragments that got into my shirt
    2 -- 2 weeks later, the bones were separated so we decided that I needed surgery
    3 -- 2 weeks after the surgery, I got a metal plate and 8 screws
    4 -- From today.. Fully healed, still Robocop
