Only two months ago; but they are a 5/8 Full hollow Giesen and Forsthoff round point; and a 4/8 ¼ hollow Henckels #59 spike point.

My first was also a 5/8 Dovo round point imitation mop with gold bolster, bought at Caswell & Massey on Lexington Ave. in NYC in 1960 or 1961. The gold wash is gone from the blade, but it is till in my regular rotation and shaves great.

    There were three:

A 9/16, beautiful, smiley wedge, W&B; I sold to an Australian. Sorry I did that!

A Beau Brummell, 5/8, I bought from Vintage Blades; sold on Ebay, very regretfully!

A plain W&B, 5/8, w/barber's notch, I got from Bill Ellis. I still have this baby, and it remains one of my very best shavers!

    * Well, "one out of three, ain't bad, but isn't good, either"

My first two razors were bought through Classic Shaving. They were a Timor "Blue Steel" 5/8 (Giesen & Forsthoff) and one of the Filarmonica 7/8 (15/16) razors.

I sold the Timor to another member here, as I prefer the larger and heavier ground razors. I still have the Filarmonica.

Here's mine, a loaner from my father at that time (1976), I still use it today.
The red dot had already faded away when I got it. I put it back only a couple of weeks ago.

    Good day,

A 5/8 silversteel Dovo, bought new from De Koordenwinkel / shaving-and-razor-shop.com
Still use it occasionally nowadays. It's a great shaver.
