Do you remember what your first straight razor was?
If you're enough of a straight shaving enthusiast to participate in a forum about it, you'll probably remember your first razor. Mine's easy because it was only about 4 months ago that I got it. It's a nice 6/8 Gotta 120 Hamburg Ring that I got right here in the classifieds. I remember that I was only going to stick to the "easy" spots for my first few shaves, as recommended, but it started out so well that I did my entire face... and LOVED it. I immediately gave away all my unused cartridges and threw my mach 3 in the trash because I knew I'd been converted for good. Since then I've developed quite a case of RAD and amassed a nice little collection, my favorite so far being my Dovo 6/8.
So, what was your first? And do you still have/use it?

Indeed!
I bought three "first" razors...
5/8 Henckels #18 from Lynn
5/8 DD Satinedge from Xman
5/8 Challenge Cutlery from Joe Chandler
All excellent razors that did me well in learning. All spikes too!
I sold the Satinedge to a veteran member here and still use the Challenge and Henckels.

Of course! How can I forget... and I had not one, but two first straight razors: a TI 5/8, full hollow ground and a Le Grelot 6/8, 1/4 grind... both are very different shavers, but excellent ones! I still am shaving with both and enjoy the shave they give as much - even if I have developed a small RAD!

My first razor was a Dovo stainless 5/8 blade I picked up outside a BX in 1982.

The first razor that I used: no.
The first that I bought was a lot of 3. An Engstrom full-hollow, Double Duck Satinedge full-hollow, and a vintage C-Mon wedge. I still use the C-Mon more than all the others combined (15 or so total now).
