    Talking coming home

Well i finally did it I turned in my resignation paperwork this morning and it has been approved. guess there getting tired of me being here as much as I am LOL anyway my last day in country is 1 Feb 2009 and then I am homeward bound and God willing maybe stay there this time and just get a real job one that is 8 to 5 5 days a week not the 12 hours a day 7 days a week I have been doing for the past 5 years.
then once that happens I think I will have plenty of time to pratice my honing skills you know with all the extra time on my hand well that is after i finish the rather large honey do list that the wife has been building in my absense that is

Good to hear you are headed back to the states. I am One month in, second tour. Just wondering do people give you crazy looks when they walk in the head and see you using a straight. Most people when they see me shaving they turn around and walk out, I guess they think I am going to Cut my throat and dont want to be around.

Fallick, where you at over here?? and no first off because I usually do it in my hooch with my little plastic pan hot water pot and microwave, I just dont like the idea of having somebody slamming a door, bumping me or anything else stupid like that.
MY routine is get to the hooch, go to the shower trailer take a real hot shower, then run like hell back to the hooch (getting cold here) and then boil some water in my electric hot water pot and then some on a hand towel, thro it in the micro just to make sure it's hot LOL strop my razor, lather and start that special time of the day for me, no fuss no muss no idiots just time and quiet. it gives me something to look forward to at least every other day this way i dont get any razor burn or anything.
You get a chance look up my profile and E-Mail me at my work account would be nice to have somebody over here to chat with or trade with. you know how it is LMAO

    Jordan,
I wont know how to handle a proper Shave Den! never had one and have been doing it this way just about since the start. LOL I'm trying to figure out if the wife will let me put a microwave in the bathroom so I can keep doing it the way I have been and then also I will probably get fat now that i wont be running from the shower trailer to my hooch every night 200 yard dash and it can be real fast depnding if it is raining or how cold it is. LMAO But really I have gotten used to it and is old hat the only problem i really forsee is the grandkids coming busting in the door saying that they have to go while I have my STR8 up against my throat. So I figure I am going to have to make a sign stating that I am in there. oh and then my dog wont leave my side when I am home so that too is going to prove to be interesting. but it wont matter in the long run I will adjust I have too cause after 5 years here I damn sure aint coming back no way shape or form and plus the wife wont let me at least thats what she said this morning when I told her what i did

Congrats on handing in your resignation and getting to come home! Here's hoping you have very smooth sailing from here to February.

    Godspeed.

i would like to give my heat felt thanks to all that have replied it is very much appreciated and also the suport that i and everybody else here gets from the folks back home and abroad. it does mean a lot sometimes a letter or E-Mail can make all the difference in the world. And I have been blessed with a damn good wife that has always supported me in every STUPID thing I have done even coming back here after I retired out of the military. with out hers and everybodys support it would have and couldnt have happened.
I Cant wait to get home it is going to drive me nuts and then some and thenbe able to spend quality time with the family and friends that I have not been able to be with. and then be able to do something as go to a store mall or even a real Barber is going to be a treat in itself Man just damn excited thats for sure. Sorry about rambling and all but it's all I have on my mind and has been a long time coming. And I think the wife is still in shock that I finally made the decision to come home LOL
