Home made soaps? Wouldn't that be a bit expensive to accomplish? I would be afriad that the total cost of all the items needed to make the soaps would end up costing me more than it would cost me to buy the Williams soaps.

Homemade soaps do not have to be expensive depending on what oils you use. I have a couple of recipes that use Crisco Shortening.

I highly reccommend the castle forbes. It is expensive, but a tub will last more than 6 months. I have not found a more luxurious shaving cream. Ask for a tub for Christmas or something. BTW, I went to NCSU also.

Never been on the chattooga before, I'll have to add it to my list of things to do. What did you major in Ditch Doc? I'm an agri. business mangagement major, going to finish up on time next year. I have actually had some experience in soapmaking, but only with plain woodash and lard lye soap, the kind folks used to homemake after hog killing and rendering lard. Its great for cleanin up and bathing, but i'd hesitate to lather it up and shave with it. Although i've never tried, I would imagine it could result in some serious drying, its a little harsher than a shave soap.
