Thanked: 1195
That's not bad...... but seriously I think the moustache thing has been creeping up for a while now. There are two types of people who wear staches: Old-timers who don't care about fads and younger men trying to look more distinguished (and of course no offence to anyone!). HOWEVER, I DO think that they are not suitable for everyone; some can pull it off with ease and others look pretty goofy. As a man who has worn the stache from time to time I would suggest growing it out to a full length first before making decisions about styling, shaving it off etc. It's not fair to your moustache to shave it off after only a weeks growth as it hasn't reached it's full potential. As for members like StraightRazorDave I don't think that age should have anything to do with it (I fall into the "younger man" category too) I think you should start your own style and maybe others will follow. Think of Sgt. Pepper-era Beatles - how many young men grew staches because of that album!
BTW - My Significant Other said the other day that I should "grow my sideburns back" as I have sported healthy pork chops in the past. I don't have the heart to tell her that I'm enjoying straight shaving so much that I need all the whiskers I have just for shaving But that's another post..........

The problem the way I see it is the time between shaved upper lip and a mustache. The transition looks stupid. And since shaving is so much fun, it isn't an option to just grow scruffy and then shave of the rest.

Thanked: 1195One option to consider is growing a beard. When it comes time to shave it off leave the moustache and see how it looks. I've found that if you leave it for a few days you might actually like it. However, here in Canada it is sometimes practical to wear a beard during the winter months if your job will permit it (maybe not so practical during the summer because, contrary so some views, it DOES get bloody hot), but I doubt this is a problem in Miami

Is mustaches becoming modern again?
Seems to be a common theme here!
I have has mine for 40 years & only shaved it off twice with regret!
I have had a gotee for the past 10 years & wouldn’t think of shaving that off either.
