Lynn Abrams is one heck of a guy.
A couple weeks ago, I sent my NOS Hess 44 RP Stainless to Lynn to be honed. I don't know why I did it, but I sent it in it's original (also NOS condition) coffin. When it came back from Lynn, the coffin was crushed. The good ole USPS dropped something very large and heavy on my razor, and it just shattered the coffin (it was a plastic coffin, not paperboard). I'm actually very lucky that the razor itself wasn't damaged. Now please note that it was NOT the fault of Lynn's packing job; there was no packing job capable of repelling this kind of damage, short of a steel strong box.
I sent a quick note to Lynn telling him how happy I was about the honing, but I was bummed about the coffin.
In the mail today, I received a NOS condition Hess coffin from Lynn.
Lynn, I can't tell you how much I appreciate it. You and SRD have a devout customer from here on. Truly above and beyond service.

This thread saves me from posting almost a duplicate. Awhile ago, I decided to post my experience doing business with members of SRP. I bought this razor from a guy on Ebay and without inspecting it, I sent it to Lynn for honing. This razor had all sort of problems and I asked Lynn if he could ship it back. Lynn was also instrumental in me getting a refund, which happened just last monday. Lynn has always been great to me. He has honed my razors and given me tons of advice for which I am very grateful. Thank you Lynn.

Thanked: 328Guys,
I've known Lynn since 2003, and have considered him a good friend since that point. He's one of the better people you'll ever meet in your life. We should all be so lucky as to have someone around like him.
Thanks for being my friend, Lynn.
