Default USPS has lost my razors

on the 12th i won an auction on ebay. It was sent first class usps, and now USPS cant find it, it has record of leaving north carolina, where they say is should be held in Grand Rapids right now. Grand Rapids says there is a flaw in the computer sysem becuase even though it says that the package never arrived. so now the post office is calling back and forth between states to find it. they were going to be my first razors, a W&B and a Boker red injun.

Hey, they may find them yet! Big Red lost a lovely W&B blade similarly recently. I'm beginning to wonder if there's a postal worker who shaves with a straight. In fact, if we lose many more, maybe they all will?

I feel your pain. I've only had this happen once, so even though I complain, the USPS has been pretty good.

It took about a month for my lost razors to turn up. Hang in there.

There is hope yet. I have had stuff go astray for awhile and eventually get to my door.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Hang in there. People are still receiving letters that were written during WW2.

As I live in Thailand I'm glad that there are very few if any Thais into straight razor shaving. Many Thai postal workers consider the Thai post as a free lucky dip.

I would still give it another week or two. If it doesn't show up by then you know it ain't coming. Hopefully its insured right?

When I got my B&B Zowada razor it was shipped Fedex ground and some sorter there read the state code NM as MN and it wound up in Minnesota where it was then shipped air to NM. It took about 2 1/2 weeks to get.

Your first razors? I can understand the frustration. But I'd bet they will turn up. I had a somewhat similar experience last fall--sent a packet of important documents by certified mail, and when I checked the online tracking a few weeks later, it had the record of the package having been accepted at the post office of origin, and nothing else. And the office they were sent to was incredibly backed up on opening their mail and couldn't confirm that they had it. I had a harrowing couple of weeks until I learned that the people I sent the package to had indeed received and processed it.

As far as I know (haven't checked lately), the tracking report still doesn't show the package as having been delivered. My impression is that while USPS has improved their delivery (especially in Chicago, which used to have the worst postal service in the country), the accuracy of their tracking and reporting lags behind.
