Happy Mothers Day Silver aka Squid's Early Arrival
Gentlemen & Ladies I am proud & most humbled to announce that Silver delivered a healthy baby girl at 3.40 this morning. Squid turned up nearly two months early! She obviously could not wait
It all got a bit hectic last night. Silver went into labour at about 10.30. By 1, I had called the hospital who had said to come in. By 2 we were there. By three the quacks had said they wanted to do an emergency caesarean section & by 4 Squid was here. Silver is remarkably chirpy, considering she has had fairly major surgery. I am waiting for all the pain killers to wear off & then maybe we will see less chirpiness. Squid is doing very well in Neonatal Intensive Care & was taken off "full" ventilation this afternoon. She weighs 3lb 8oz, or 1.58kg in new money & is apparently a fidget as well as a screamer. Can not think where that comes from?????
Silver will be on here no doubt as soon as she is discharged home. I thought that you chaps would appreciate the news. I am off to bed since I have been awake since 7am yesterday. More soon

Thanked: 3795Congrats! I wonder, which razor did you use to cut the cord?
Kids are always doing surprising things. Showing up early is just a reminder that you are NOT in control, you just get to go along for the ride. Enjoy it!!!
