I had some cuts for the first 2-3 months. One was a bad one that left a nice scar that now adds "character" to my right cheek.
After that it has been clear sailing. It takes a bit of time to "master" the razor, but when you do,,,,,WOW!!!! WHAT A NICE SHAVE....

Thanked: 317I remember it perfectly, as if it happened today.
Oh, wait.... It did happen today, about 7 hours ago.
Getting ready for work today was my first good shave with absolutely no nicks or razor burn. Up until today (almost 2 weeks) every shave has had a little of one or the other, but less and less every day.

Can't help out, 'cos I can't remember either. It was a couple months into it though. Luckily nothing serious before then. I think the last area that needed attention was just below my nose.

My first straight shave was bloodless -- I took the
advice of many folks here and started slowly, and
only shaved WTG on my cheek and sideburn area.
That is, for the first passI did actually finish my
first shave WTG on my whole face. No blood, and
not particularly close either. Still, there was this
amazing feeling...

Thanked: 234I think mine was about 2 weeks in, I remember thinking a few times 'no blood!' and promptly nicking my self several times just to make up for it.
I do still nick my self with some regularity, but at least now I'm getting smooth comfortabel shaves with the odd nick, rather than razor burn with several - if that makes sense.

My shaves were bloodless for the first month.
Then I bought a Friodur that was sharper than anything I had used. I had blood running down both sides of my face and didn't even know it. That was when I learned about what sharp is and how not to use too much pressure.
I had a grin from ear to ear with blood running down my face.
You can't beat that education!

I don't get nicks or cuts often, and most of the time it's because of small acne.
Acne => blade => blood.
It doesn't count.. right? (since it would bleed with any razor, even electric)
I have agile musician hands, might help

Thanked: 8I am with Cybrok. Acne does not count,
I got a good shave yesterday. Only two weepers, but they were acne spots.
All of my previous shaves ended up with scratches on my cheeks and chins.
I am into my seventh month.

I'd say I was about a week in. I rarely cut myself anymore unless I go over a bump.
