Thanked: 171Do you shave with one hand, or both?
Another recent thread inspired this poll just to see what the spread is, because I love polls
Do you shave only with only your dominant hand, only your non-dominant hand, or do you use both hands?
For me, it's both, ever since day one. I'm not ambidextrous by any means whatsoever. For almost everything my left hand is useless. But, for shaving, I've always used both .. with the mach 3, fusion, electric, DE, etc. I could probably shave with my right hand only, but it would be very unnatural at first.

Thanked: 271I shaved with my dominant right hand for 28 years and never thought anything about it. Then I found SRP and all my assumptions were challenged. It's very awkward at first and I went back and forth, it's worth it/its not worth it. What finally tipped the scales was when I realized that my BBS lasted longer on the left side and I decided to try shaving the right side with the other hand to see if it made a difference. Now the ratio of dominant to non-dominant hand is about 60/40, i.e., I can't do everything with my left that I do with my right, but almost.

I can't see how I would use JUST one hand..
I'm a 2 hander
Took a while to get comfy with my weak side hand...

Both. I started as i figured that if i was using a straight i'd develop the skill as far as i could. It was also my breakthrough in preventing ingrown hair. Just can't get the stroke right without using both.

Thanked: 52I use both but dont use them equally...I may try just my right hand to see if that is easier than both...

I'm a right hander only. I tried it with my left hand once, and it was frankly scary. I didn't have the confidence to make a solid stroke, which I figure is more dangerous than the one handed use. And I'm getting good shaves one-handed, so I guess I'll stick with it.

Thanked: 6I use both. I never thought I would have the coordination to use my non-dominant hand, but it really makes things a lot easier for me. I can get angles that would be impossible if I only used my dominant (right) hand.
The odd thing is that while I am considerably less confident with my left hand, I consistently get better a better shave wherever I shave with it. I still haven't figured that one out yet.

I use both hands for str8 razor. Started out with just dominant right hand, and did that for awhile. I don't make all of the same passes with my left, but I do use most of them. I occasionally use a DE, and it's almost all right handed.
