Elliette, looks like you did better than I did the first time. Congrats!
as to getting more razors. I have 10 of my own now. My current favorite is a Torrey little guard. It's a 5/8 short blade, Only a couple of inches long. It is a square point also. I usually go for round points but this one is no problem to use. I will be taking it out tomorrow to use. I am a bit overdue, but been very busy with soap making and company lately.
Sorry this is CarrieM, I forgot that JoeD is auto logged on the home computer. LOLLast edited by Joed; 05-17-2009 at 06:30 PM. Reason: Clarification on who is writing.. been a busy day LOL

Thanked: 234Sounds like you enjoyed it, and that's the most important thing.
Good luck, it's cool to see women emerging in male dominated groups, gives it another dimension.

Well I was inspired and decided to have my first straight leg shave in months yesterday. My Bauer is MIA which has left me razorless for the last six months.
Spike very generously let me use his Dovo Prima Klang and I was impressed with it. I'll do a proper shave review when I haven't got parents or major squwarkage due. I was a little twitchy myself, because of how long it had been since I straight shaved and also due to the fact I hadn't used the Dovo before.
It went well, just a few nicks. The damage came when Spike walked down the hall towards the bathroom and I didin't hear him, so when he spoke (which happened to be in the middle of shaving my right knee) I jumped a mile and the razor bit deep. It's healing well though so it's all good.

So - after a couple of days I will report this: One, the soap is soaking in preparation, of course. Two - the left leg (SR) is overall softer than the right, and the hair is a bit lighter. This could have to do with the right leg's razor being not so hot, yes?
I'm going to do both. I think the only time I'll return to the Venus is when I'm traveling, as I only have the one razor and don;t want to lose it. It's got great sentimental value.
