Well I recently had some razors sent down by my father who won them in an auction. One was a Clauss "Coronation 1902" razor.

I found this article about the company:
    findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0EIN/is_2004_June_1/ai_n6049382/

Clauss Cutlery was founded in 1877 in Fremont, Ohio and at one time was the largest manufacturer of scissors in the world.

There's another article that says they were founded in Elyria, Ohio and didn't move to Fremont until 1887. So the razor is probably late 1800s or early 1900s.

    HTH
