Thread: Finally! Shaving box pics

Hey everyone, so I've finally gotten almost everything unpacked and located and was able to actually upload the pics of the shaving box I won. I'll be posting a review of it in the review area, but I thought I'd post the box porn here. Sorry the pics aren't so great, I have terrible lighting in my new place and no shadow box.

First, many thanks to Scaramanga (http://www.scaramangashop.co.uk/) for the box! Shipping was fast, and it was packed very well. My wife loves it because it keeps all my stuff out of the way and out of sight in a beautiful box. If she's happy, I'm happy too. Right now I keep my hones inside it because I don't have anywhere else for them, but in the future, I'd like to move them elsewhere and get my razors inside it. My razors currently reside on top of it.

The box is made of very solid, thick wood. It's heavy for what it is, and I really enjoy that. It has a certain heft about it that you can see and feel, and it really feels like a high class piece of storage. The craftsmanship is very solid with the exception of where the hinges fasten to the main box. They have a slight wobble due to a smaller size nail being used than needed. All the other hardware is very tight and I wouldn't have any issues carrying it by the handle if it weren't for the hinges.

Besides my wife being happy with it, my favorite part of this box is the smell. I don't know if they all smell like this, but this box has a very faint smell of firewood. It doesn't make everything smell like it, but if you get within 6 or so inches of it, it smells fantastic.

In all, if you're looking for a classy way to store your gear, give Scaramanga a whirl. This box is not only functional but very beautiful, and will set off your shave den/bathroom vanity.

Those boxes still look like a great deal. I could get used to one really quickly

C'mon man, these guys are down the street from me (literally). All the okie shavers were at least an hour apart, some further. Feel free to fly out. I live close to the airport too

EDIT: If you're considering one of these boxes, go for it if you've got the money. I really enjoy mine. Once I figure out an alternative for my hones, I'm planning on popping some desiccant packs in there with my razors and it'll be perfect.
