Thread: Talk About Your Ebay Razors

... found a seven day set made by mappin and webb for sale today.

of course i bought them and now i'm wondering if they are worth the money!

here's a quick rundown:

*made by mappin and web.

* M
trustworthy
mappin & webb
royal cutlery works
sheffield
on the shank. (the "trustworthy" is in a scroll)

*ivory scales - one with a large crack, not at the pivot pin, one with a small(tiny) crack again, not at the pivot pin. all pivots are nice and tight.

*5/8th hollow ground blades in cutlers(?) steel - some small marks on the back and tang but no rust whatsoever.

*on the top of each blade, the days of the week with scroll work engraved each side.

*jimps (or gimps?) on the underside of the shank only.

*in original box.

i'll get some pictures up when i get a chance, probably monday

so, what should i have payed?! once there's been some help, i'll tell all - if i've not been embarassed!



**edit: the wedges appear to be made of lead.**
