A lot of folks use a product called MAAS to polish razors. It's available at a lot of Wal-Marts. I found it on the cleaning aisle (Ajax, Comet, furniture polish). It's in a gray & blue package. This stuff is super for removing grunge from a razor.

It will remove those dark greyish spots (which is probably corrosion) depending on how deep they are.
