Site crash?
Did we have a crash? I've not been able to get on till now (& it's bloody time for bed!) & have mysteriously lost most of my casino money!
I feel like i've got withdrawal symptoms, but can't stay.

Thanked: 1903[EDIT] DO NOT USE THIS ANYMORE, DNS HAS PROPAGATED. If have you previously made any of the changes suggested below, please revert. Because if SRP should change its DNS data in the future, you will not be able to access it.
Bit of a hysteron proteron, but anyway...
Windows
Open an explorer window, i.e. a file browser. Type this in the location bar:
Code:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\
Then right click, and "open with" and choose an editor / notepad / whatever, but not Word.
Add the following two lines at the end of the file:Code:69.16.253.67 straightrazorplace.com 69.16.253.67 www.straightrazorplace.com
A walkthrough: How to edit the hosts file in Mac OS X – Leopard « Decoding the Web
Or open terminal.app and issue the following commands:Code:sudo su - echo "69.16.253.67 straightrazorplace.com www.straightrazorplace.com" >> /private/etc/hosts dscacheutil -flushcache
Code:sudo su - echo "69.16.253.67 straightrazorplace.com www.straightrazorplace.com" >> /etc/hosts

Thanked: 328So here's the downlow. We switch from a VPS to a dedicated machine awhile back..
The NS entries for SRP were pointing to the nameservers on the old VPS machine.. Neither I nor the host realized it.. So when we dropped the VPS yesterday.. SMACK..
The problem is that DNS takes awhile to update, expecially when your adjusting the IP's of a nameserver.. So while we fixed the problem fast.. It took awhile for that fix to make it to everyone's ISP..
Please remember that Lynn is selling SRP withdrawal insurance.. I think for a reasonable price, he'll call your house and talk to you about razors during an outage.
Thanks
David

Thanked: 4942That's right David,
Step right up folks. We are prepared to offer you a policy of insurance that will cost some signifcant dollars and provide virtually no coverage. We will be happy to consider SRP withdrawl and can certainly tailor a policy to your needs with lucrative benefits and excessive exclusions.
For all those interested, please call 1-800-DON and we will be there like a good neighbor..........and you will be in good hands........
Have fun,
Lynn
