Cut from an antique razor
While examining a straight razor I picked up at an antique store today, I accidentally ran the top of my finger along the edge, causing a 3/4 inch cut just above my nail.
It bled for a while, I applied hydrogen peroxide to it.
Now I am just concerned I may have contracted something from the previous owner.
It is a King Cutter razor.

If you cleaned out the wound well enough I would say you did all you can do. If the blade has been in a box for the past 50 years, and clean, it is unlikely that anything is still alive on it.
The make and model would have little to do with it short of establishing a reason to buy it

I think you would be safe on contacting something from the past owner as it is likely been unused for a bit. Anything on it should have died long ago , the bacteria can only survive for so long. On the other hand, a tetanus shot might be a good idea.

what is your immunization history ? when was your last tetanus shot?
This is really important . it will decide what to do next. gl

Correct. Unless you pulled it from some bloody faced mans shaving hand and immediately cut yourself, there is no real possibility of any blood borne diseases being present as they die minutes after exposure to the open air. Tetanus could be an issue if the blade is rusty and you havent had a jab in the last ten years.
I always soak in saline solution(salt bath). Works for me.

Yeah a tetanus shot every 9 years or so, or if you have gotten that other 5 injection-whatever-it-is-thing you should be set for life.
Really I just wanted to comment on how I used to love pouring hydrogen peroxide solution into an open wound, looked so cool if I recall correctly.
Just a shame I don't get hurt anymore

Haha.
Thanks for the info guys.
The blade is free of any rust, as far as I can tell.
And my last tetanus shot would have been within the 10 year mark, hopefully. Don't recall when exactly I got it.

I remember the last shot I got, just before getting out of the Army... I did something stupid and ended up in the hospital (don't remember the injury) for a good cleaning/wallet soaking. I was asked how long sence my last tetanus shot, I said "Ummm" POKE "OUCH"... "to long ago"... bugger...
