Ouch, the razor burn is all could think about. I suppose if you had sensitive skin this wouldn't work for you. I kind do like the lather prep though. I might give that a try, but I don't think It would take any less time to create a that lather than it does with my soap.
I've never tried DE or SE, does it really take that long to shave with one, that you have to create a whole new method, of shaving? With the cartridges I could shave in just as little time as he did. I don't mean to compare the two but they seem similar enough, that I would shave the same way with either of them.

    Default Method Shaving Video

    Gentlemen,

I have come to realize that I must shave using methods that work best for me. That sometimes means going against convention. At the same time, I continue to refine my technique, whether with a double edge or a straight edge.

As a rule, I use the double edge when in a hurry. That as well as devoting one day a week to the double edge so that I do not lose my skills. With the double edge I have reduced my shave to two passes — north-south, east-west — and clean up.

The experiment continues with the straight edge, though. I continuously work toward gaining ground on the two-pass shave, with cleanup — north and south, east and west. The neck is a problem, of course, and thus far I remain on the three-passes method. But I am working on cutting that down to two as well.

    Regards,

    Obie
