Thanked: 13245Kudo's to SRD
OK I not not sure who actually does the packing over there guys whether it is Lynn or Don or some kid they hired
But whoever actually packed my last order gets a huge high five...
The outer box was destroyed by the USPS, and guess what guys everything inside was wrapped so good that all the breakables were safe and intact....
So whoever was the anal retentive SOB that wrapped it all so perfect GOOD JOB!!!!

Actually, as far as the USPS goes, it's not anyone person destroying packages. Many, Many packages are placed inside of large metal shipping containers that are placed on trucks, planes, etc...Sometimes the ones at the bottom get crushed. Whenever I ship something, I'm always complimented on my packing. That's because I know what the box is going up against. I feel Priority mail is a good deal as far as shipping goes.

I always ship proirity and try to pack as well as possible, its scary sometimes when you get a beautiful razor inthe mail from someone and it has been shipped 1st class in an envelope!
Hey Rich, do the treat Priority boxes any better, or is it just the box itself? It is easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled. Twain

I've always been pleased with the packaging from SRD, as well as everything else... They are a really good vendor... is that good enough for a little discount on my next purchase

Yes, SRD does pack well. Anyone who does any shipping knows that the Priority boxes from the Postal Service have become less rigid. They're not as solid as they once were. Like most American business's these days, we are losing money, lot's of money. They project a 12 billion dollar loss this year. At one time Emery overnight handled Priority mail for us, now we do. The facilities where it was processed are being consolidated into the regular Processing and Distribution plants throughout the U.S. It will all be under one roof. Priority mail is handled better, trackable by request, and quicker than say, Parcel Post.
Even with Priority, I recommend over packing it. If your sending a Razor, put it in a box, not an envelope. Pack it well. Lynn recommended using a one of those toothbrush holders that you get in a Wal Mart or Target, usually two for a dollar, or something like that. Even with Priority, your box could be on the bottom of hundreds of pounds of other packages, think about it. You've seen the movie "Castaway" with Tom Hanks. We use the same Airline shipping containters from Fedex, Those big metal boxes you saw on the plane. They get filled with boxes. We have assumed control !

Picked up my box, from SRD, the other day, the box was so huge and I had ordered so little, I thought for sure they sent me the wrong order. It turns out I never received anything that was so well protected before, and there was nothing in it I would have even considered to be fragile. This is the kind of care and customer service many companies lack now days. Thank you Don and Lynn for your efforts.
Also, thank you for using the USPS.Last edited by natepaint; 09-15-2009 at 03:53 AM.
