    Anyone know if the scales are a hard black rubber substance? If so, the folks who restore fountain pens can bring back the black in a great way. Try www.richardspens.com

    If the your scales are rubber they will smell like rubber. Tony, I too have one razor with black rubber scales that change color. Mineral oil is nice on them,
