    May I suggest leaving the pins in. If you remove them then the collectible value goes way down. Everything must be original. Watch the video by Brian Donofrio on restoring a straight razor or get the CD from Bill Ellis on razor restoration at www.billysblades.com . Try using a popsicle(sp?) stick with some cloth wrapped around it to get in between the scales. Use MAAS to clean up the blade and the last thing is to hone the razor.

    Well It dosent really mater if I remove the pins any morebecouse I managed to drop it this morning and cracked the blade for about an inch and a halph straight up the middle.
