    Undecided.

All my razors are honed by Sham or Max. I have Filarmonicas, Palmeras, and Pumas which are my favorites from the "top end" and I have 4-6 Robert Klaas razors from the $20-$30 average price range, which rival those top shelf razors.

Do I think Filarmonicas are worth what people pay for them? Yes.

Would I pay more for a Robert Klaas if I wanted another one? Yes.

The market drives the prices. For whatever reason there is no demand for Robert Klaas razors. I don't know why, but it baffles me

well. this thread has convinced me to get 2 Gold Dollars from Kenrup (Got my started strop from him and enjoy it), one to keep as a reference for how to hone. I will begin to learn to hone with the other one.

I could get one from Mr. Pinko (or whatever) from ebay for 15 bucks, but then I would have to take it to get honed from my guy here and that's another 25 bucks. So, I'll just buy them from Kenrup, pay about 6$ more, have them honed and QC'd by him

i wonder when we'll get a hold of the cuba's awesome production too - that could be the crown in scott's collection
ivan, you are quite right.(uh..correct)..i do enjoy my 3 gold dollar straights. would also be glad to try one from cuba, if they make them, along with a good cuban cigar. i would also be glad to try one of those maestro livi's you have with you also
also, would it not be ironic if i made the fatal slip with a communist blade???

I judge a razor on its balance, ability to take and keep an edge and how smooth it shaves. That being said, having tried a lot of razor brands I still go back to my $28-$50 Genco's and my Ebay Puma's $100 or less. I own Bokers, Dovo's, A Filly, Dubl Ducks, Austs and Livi's. The Austs are a step up and the Livi's are just fantastic razors in every sense of the word. However, very few will shave better then the Genco or Puma. I still use the Puma's in my rotation.

I guess opinions haven't changed in the 6 years between posts.
