Pierre Thiers and others
Just got the Pierre Thiers razor from Classic Shaving today. It is really a heavy razor, much more weight than most 5/8 blades. Nice feel with the hammered section left unground. Sharpest TI I own too.
This is a 5/8 Thiers Issard with an old pattern narrow tang blade. Scales are vinage hand painted whalebone with a diferent design on each side.

Kelly,
Christmas is never over as long as one has other toys to sell to buy nice razors. I sold everything I had with gold washed tangs to buy these. I hate seeing the gold wear away over time and wanted the TIs.

I have not tried either yet......I want a quite time to enjoy the first shave instead of my rushed before work shave. This weekend I will try both.
The stone is a natural Belgian "bout". This is a piece not sawn to shape but finished just as it leaves the quarry with the edges ground to clean them up. The shape of these will alays vary. natrual means the yellow Coticule and the blue are joined just as they came from the ground. It is not a yellow Coticule bonded to slate as in other stones.
My first shipment of belgians will be here soon and will be on my website.
