I'm reading this thread with absolute envy a hone fest ! .
I guess probably every newbie like myself asks the question - has Lynn make a little honing video like his very informative shave video ? I think the chances of finding Honemiester here in Scotland is not that promising .

Perhaps someday, there will be time for the SRP Convention.
Vegas, perhaps?

I vote Vegas too! Nice golf courses also, no Myrtle Beach, but hey no place is MB! Here's the kicker....Vegas has both T & H and Penhaligon's, both at Caesars IIRC...I believe it's cheaper to fly to Vegas...?

I think there are pretty cheap flights both to Myrtle and Vegas. I think Hooters Air flies to both... ;p
Don't know about actually getting vendors and stuff - that sounds like it might require *gasp* planning. Be great to come back with some goodies, though!

Thanked: 0gentleman,
although lurking here for many months, i have not posted as i dont own any straight razors, let alone have the facilities to care for them properly (im a college student in a dorm room, where would i hang a strop in a communal bathroom?!). but i am a member over at ShaveMyFace.com. we floated the idea of having a convetion of sorts. it seems that a similiar consensus was reached over here. can you imagine walking up and down aisles of fine english creams, speciality razors and possibly a hands on honing class with the master himself. i think there is a possibility for a convention with all forums (badger and blade, SMF, SRP, etc).
it seems that you guys would be definitely be interested in this. just wanted to through my 2 cents in.

P.S. we have thought of a name, Shave-Con 1, but that could be changed
