A sample of the Fusion came in the mail today. I'm going to give it a try and see what I think.

I saw it, though, and the five blade thing, and said, "Well, I'm doing just great with one blade, but...." I admit it, I have a thing for gadgets.

If I got a Fusion in the mail...I'd probably give it a go. Why not? They sent me a Mach3 for my 18th Bday...

Chances are pretty good even if it DOES give a decent shave I'll be sticking with my straights. Call it a coincidence, call it whatever you like, but ever since I started straight shaving the acne that has plagued me since I was about 15 has cleared up and stayed clear much better than ever before in my life. I attribute it to the exfoliating tendancy of dragging a blade across your face scraping all the little dead skin cells and whatnot off leaving clean skin underneath.

I'd try it if I got one for free. Wouldn't convince me to leave the str8 though.

I have experienced the same benefit and think there might be another factor as well. Most of us used our disposables a few time at least, some of us many times. I'd wager that not one of us decided to disinfect that cartridge like we do our straights. Essentially, whatever ability your face had at defeating the bacteria in your pores gets negated the very next time you shave when you reintroduce all the bacteria from the last shave that's been thriving on the unclean blade.

Whichever it is or whatever combination of those reasons or any others ... it's great to be straight!

I bet there are a few guys in Greenwich Village that might disagree with you

Considering how close the straight razor shave is, I can't imagine a cross dresser or transvestite NOT using a straight razor. Maybe that's a 'special interest' group we should be targetting. Personally, I love the idea of rows of men in curlers and lingerie, lisping back and forth about what lipstick they prefer while clasping a straight razor before their lathered faces. That's an image we don't get to see much in the movies.
