I buy quite a lot from Ebay.

I'm not that experienced though, so I tend to buy NOS or razors with a lot of good pictures.
I always buy from seller with no less than 100% positive rating.
    99.8%, no go.
Knock on wood, every one has been great this far. (2 fillys, and 2 Palmeras this week)

Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

It's really funny, my ADs have been largely in remission for some time now. I've been on to other things that require cashola: tabletop machining.......So, where I used to scrape together any cash in search of razors and stones, now my mind is full of images of micrometers, dial test indicators, quick change tool posts, the list goes on and on and on and on. Tools are an expensive diversion, aren't they?

    Chris,

I machine the table tops in my care with a belt sander, with nary a micrometer in sight. Although, I did rig a router once to straighten out an old butcher block. Had to take off about 5/8" to get it flat -- and then I could use my belt sander. It was and old Skil machine that looked like a small steam tractor, and weighed it too. It ate micrometers for lunch.

I have done, and probably will do in the future. How ever, I find the prices high, compared to what I can buy in person.

I tend to buy cheap restos, but they're just not that cheap any more.

I've bought a few razors on eBay.

However before doing so, I spent a lot of time around here learning about razors and bought a few at local antique stores and familiarized myself with pitting and hone wear first hand. I also never spend more than $20 dollars if the pictures aren't crystal clear or I have talked with the seller.

I've gotten some blades that have ended up being in better condition than I expected, and several that weren't salvageable.

I do a lot more looking than buying, but yes, I have bought. I find very little in the antique shop around here.

I buy some on Ebay, but only if I know what I'm getting, and if it's a good deal.

Most of my local antique stores have pretty low prices on razors, so I got spoiled early on in my RAD. I won't spend more than $15 or so on a vintage razor (for restoration) unless it's really nice, or something I really really want.

Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.

when ever RAD hits me ( which is most nights) i will do a little snipe on e-bay, its a rush!! you just have to stick to your guns on a price, some times you win and sometimes you loose, but there will always be another razor, dont fool yourself and think its the last one on earth. I missed out on a jacques lecoultre frameback 3 months ago,and finally one showed up 3 weeks ago that was in better shape and 2 extra blades and i won it and spent 55.00 less than the one i lost.

So far all 8 of mine have come from ebay, one I restored myself and had Lynn hone, one I sent to Undream, two I have just cleaned up, the rest are waiting to be cleaned or rescaled by me. But if I am going to buy a new razor it would be from one of our vendors.
