I stand corrected. I looked it up, and Silver Steel is a carbon steel alloy with a very small proportion of silver in it. Silver is a natural antibiotic, so it might aid the steel in some way. Probably not, but I guess anything is possible. Odd things you never think of change the properties of steel, even in small amounts. I bought it cuz the guy at classic shaving recommended it as a great shaver. After using it today, I'd have to agree. I didn't even hone it any, just stropped it 30 round trips, and it shaved smoother than any of the others I have. I couldn't find an exact compositional analysis of it, but I'll keep looking.
