Then the TI ES it is. While the scales on the sheffield razor
do look a whole lot better, I would rather put the difference
in price toward something else, say a paddle strop from
Tony or perhaps a hone and a razor to actually learn
honing on. While I understand that honing isn't easy,
I suppose it can't be that hard either. Hell for that
matter after reading about straight razor shaving on
Chris Moss's book ( great book) and the write up
on classicshavings page it made learning to use a
straight sound like a many months affair. But for me
this has been easy and I don't know why. As far as stropping
goes, well I will admit that my strop from Tony does have a few
nicks on either end, but nothing serious. I have definately improved
and can now strop with comfort.
