    Hi,

Did anyone notice he was using a feather weight replaceable blade in the vimeo video?

He just breezed right through that shave.

Am I the only one who was horrified by useing the polluted waters of the ganges and the likely hood of sharing razor blades with strangers?

    Hi,

No ... you are not alone. I was shocked too.

I thought about it.... soap and water go a long way.
    No nicks either...

Of interest live polio vaccine distributed to the population of the
upper reaches of the Ganges provided secondary protection
that might have been as much a ten fold further down stream.

That was pretty cool. I've had straight razor shaves from barbers in Bolivia, Ecuador, Turkey and England. I wasn't paying enough attention to details (used cartridges/electric at the time), but I'm pretty sure most of them used disposable blades out of new wrappers.

In the spur of the moment, I'd probably have done what the writer did and get a shave there too. With a little time to think, however, I'd probably skip it; the dirty cloth would be the thing that really put me off.
