I have tons of honing and restores that come in through my website and my personal e-mail from people that are not members at any of the forums, or are members, but only use SRP for the help aspect that it offers people..
Unfortunately not everyone likes to use the social aspect of the forum, but hey that's ok too, we give out info to anyone who needs it, and asks for it....
Thanks -and wow another good point!!it's like an iceburg!!!-only 1/3rd of it(shaving activity) is visible on the surface.I had no idea you guys were helping non-members through your own websites, but hey-I'm proud that you do!!
That , I suppose is what makes me a newbie- still.
    Kind regards

Thanks for the above-I suppose i was just trying to get a handle on how many newbies "drop-out" from membership - but i realise now that the variables are far more complicated than i originally thought.
WOW!!- This straight shaving thing is SERIOUSLY complex!!
    Kind regards

If you look at the number of guests as opposed to members who are on at any given time I would guess that we have probably 4 to 5 times the number of people observing as who participate. Many of these lurkers will probably never join and and many probably come out of curiosity but many do come again and again and I'd be willing to bet many are very long time straight users.

Probably as far as members go a large percentage are members in name only because the drop out of site but they are constantly replaced by new ones. If you went through the membership list and noted the last post or sign on date and the number of posts they have you would get some idea.
