A very moving story. Having been to Iraq in 2003, I can appreciate the need for something to "bring you back home." Best of luck and glad to have you here!

That is a fantastic story and i thank you for sharing it with us. It is great to hear of your experience and reminds me to enjoy the little pleasures we have daily. It also brings to light the plight of all our men and women and what they go through every day with a birds eye view.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE STORY AND YOUR SERVICE!Having Fun Shaving

Oh man that brings back memories I was on an ETT team in Afghanistan. There were something like 500 of us at Ft. Riley for training. It seemed like almost all of us medics had droped our retirement paperwork and instead of Uncle Sugar letting us retire decided to reward our almost 20 years of service by making us do one last tour. I enjoyed being a combat advisior to the ANA though I even decided to do an extra year over there. The teams I was a medic for are some of the best friends I have ever had. I enjoyed you story of the SR shaves, I hadnt gotten the SR bug over there yet and still used a throw away.

Thanked: 33Hi Gregg,
Your story was a delight to read ,well written and very touching.
I know only a soldier can understand what combat is really like-but you really conveyed it well- a nice little window into a soldiers life.
I'm glad you made it back and thankyou for your service.
Welcome to SRP.
