Gillette Safety Razors
hey guys, in pursuit of a good razor to restore I bid on a barbers shop lot so to speak, however i got a load of stuff that really doesnt appeal to me very much.
I got a box of early safety razors ( I mean a shoebox full) like in the picture in the thread before this one, a couple of rolls razors, complete too with spare blade and a couple unused blades and hair clippers , the hand ones, and a few other bits and bobs.
I would love to list them on ebay but id rather give them to you guys for a song and the postage, if you know what I mean, so let me know if any of you SRP guys are interested..
cheers guys...coully

I'll bite
I really like the ones that open at the top instead of the three piece ones. If you have any of those, let me know via PM.
Thanks!

Sounds like you need to start throwing some pics in the user gallery so we can take some of those off your hands.
I just got a DE from Tony Miller. Never tried one before, figured what the heck. My first roommate shaved with a DE, so I figured why not give it a try. Good shave, not a close as a straight for me but it's a trial run. The feel is a bit different, but I'd say it shaves better than a Mock3.

kyle i can definetly say theyre much better than the mach 3. ive been using one for the against the grain pass while i get the straight down and it's been nice. whether it's my technique or still my razor im not sure but a full against the grain pass with the straight is still very hard for me (i know some are probably irking at all full against the grain pass but for the life of me it's the only way i get smooth a glass).

The reason I cringe at the very thought is b/c I get ingrown hairs every time I shave against the grain. Therefore, I'll forgo on getting smooth as glass.
