**What Did You Mix Today?**
Ok, in this thread post something you mixed into your lather and explain your results. Also include what soap(s)/cream(s) you were using. I'll start.
Less than an hour ago I added some Nivea for Men Double Action AS Balm to my TOBS Lavender Shave soap. It lathered nicely and the smell was AMAZING mixed with the TOBS Lavender. The Nivea contains some alcohol so it may not be great for everyone but I was very pleased!

I like to mix CarrieM's shave soaps and creams of the same scent together. I do Oak & Moss or Bay Rum, because those are the two that I have sets of. Since I like to coordinate everything, I also have her Bay Rum bath soap and Ogallala Bay Rum AS. For Oak & Moss, I don't have the soap at the moment, but I was given a chance to be a guinea pig for Oak & Moss AS gel and I still have that.
Recently, HeirKB sent me some Lucido AS conditioner, which is a mentholated splash, and I like to use that as my AS when I shave with Proraso.

I came across a thread a few days ago about someone who used some KY Personal Lubricant and had great results.

I've mixed Trumpers soap, cream and skin food, all sandalwood scented, for probably the best sandalwood lather I've ever had!
I dont do it all the time due to time, but its great when I have the time.

I've been experimenting with melting down Arko shavesticks and adding a few things to it. The best results so far have been with adding plain vanilla or pine needle oil to it along with some extra glycerine. Melting this stuff is not easy. I added some cocoa butter to one batch but I used too much and it really killed the lathering ability. I think there is an uptapped potential to using Arko shavesticks. They make great lather but that's it. No fragrance at all except "soap." I visualize them as the "chicken" of soaps. A "blank canvas" to use as a starting point to play with additives.

What Did You Mix Today?
Gentlemen:
Today I mixed a pea-size portion of Pre de Provence cream in my bowl and swirled a Vulfix super badger brush loaded with Pre de Provence soap with it. The lather was luxurious like a puffy cloud showing off in a blue sky. My shave said so.

I came to straight razor shaving after many years of using Williams shaving soap with my Gillette cartridge razor. Not satisfied with Williams for my straight shave, I began using Proraso cream and later tried AOS for sensitive skin and a no-name brand I found at Whole Foods Market named Welenda or something like that. I began experimenting with über lather using the Williams and each of the three creams with five drops of glycerin.
Each of the three creams produced an equally rich, luxuriant über lather that satisfies my shaving needs. I later switched to using Van der Hagen soap instead of Williams because the Van der Hagen easily melts into the handled bowl I like to keep my soap in.
For me, experimentation with more expensive soaps couldn't possibly improve the shave I get with the three creams mentioned above. I would think (and again, this is only me) that trying other soaps would primarily be combining different scents and at this time, that is not one of my interests.
BUT THAT COULD CHANGE AT ANY MOMENT!! :-D
KP,
Could you please find that thread and post the link to it here? I searched for it and could not find it.I'd be interested in reading the OP's comments.
