I cannot say that I've known him but if his work is any measure of what kind of a man he was (and I believe it is) then he deserves utmost respect. The loss of such a person is hard on both friends and family, and I hope they find the strength to cope with it and accept my sincerest condolences.

I am truely saddened to here about Ray. He did alot for this site, among them the SRP special edition razor. I think it would be a fitting gesture if we (the SRP) sent a flower memorial to his funeral. I for one would gladly contribute.

Rich, count me in. Any suggestions about how to pitch in? Maybe someone who is close to CA here on the site could accept Paypal payments from us members. Please advise fellas.

Does anyone know when and where the funeral is. I'm in northern Cal about 400 miles north of where Ray lived. If no one closer volunteers, I'll set it up. Although I think it would be better if someone closer did it.

We all knew this would come. We are all benefited from our association with Ray. My prayers for his family. From all I know Ray was truely "A man For All Seasons."

If we can get the name of the funeral home and the date of the service, then we can work with the funeral home. We could have them suggest a local florist and then someone with a PayPal account could consolidate the donations, then call the florist and order the flowers and have them delivered. It doesn't have to be someone in California.
