Side Effects of the Straight
Since I started str8 shaving I've noticed some changed directly related. I now have better skin on my face, except on the corners of my mouth. I've had problems with cracking on the corners ever since I started. I've also noticed since I started my neck has gotten tighter and I may continue to find my adam's apple (I'm heavy.) I've also noticed a significant weight loss in my back pocket, but I think we all have. There is also this new hair loss problem of random patches of hair missing from my arms and legs. But seriously what are some side effect you've had from str8 shaving?

I believe Glen (or perhaps his wife?) coined the term "hone mange." I know I suffer from it, especially when bevel setting more than one razor. Seems to happen mostly on my left arm.

I don't even have a back pocket anymore but that is alright 'cause there is nothing left to put in it.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I too have better skin, but another side affect is that I take better care of my skin. I'm using better soap when I shower (and then there's the lather too). Shaving also gently exfoliates the skin. And since I'm looking for a great shave, I pay more attention to my skin as well.
Other side effects - a very dusty basement, my living room table is always covered with stuff, excess in packing materials, a whole cabinet full of things I wouldn't otherwise have, pieces of leather hanging from the doorknob, and rocks on the drying rack in my kitchen. I also check ebay like nobody's business....

You fellas keep fretting over those razors and other accoutrements and us Folsum boys will keep intercepting them on those UPS trucks. Yes ever since you all started buying all this stuff our storage shed had to be enlarged 3 times.

I had a chuckle over the random bald spots on arms and legs. I have that, too! I don't have enough disposable income right now to blow a wad on all the various AD's, but I can see that changing soon!
Problem is, I already had an expensive hobby (fly-fishing).There are many roads to sharp.
