It looks really impressive, but I don't think I'd get the same pleasure out of that, as I do with my straight.

Well they do say it would be "reasonably priced alternative" otherwise no-one would buy it and it would be a big flop no matter how good it was.
I just think it a huge leap forward in sharpening, not just shaving, technology

Ah, but we do need it!
These blades will definately be more expensive than M3 blades, and the price will reflect the fact that they wear out annually rather than weekly I have no doubt. Otherwise its not a sensible business proposal.

Just imagine your most prized razor that never had any more hone wear yet remained sharp as you like. All you need to do is send it away for a touch up once a year, less if you use more than one regularly, cant be much difference to sending it out for someone else to hone it for you. All speculation you understand just like everyone saying this will be too expensive
This technology had many applications other that just shaving if not then why go to the great expense in developing this idea.
I love advances in technology and this is just another no doubt you'd love to see the end of Gillette's strangle hold on the market.

I see what you're saying, but I like honing them..! Its really enjoyable for me to take that favourite razor, put a killer edge on it and then enjoy the wonderful smoothness of the first shave with that freshly honed edge.
If someone offered me the chance to put that diamond coating on any of my razors my reply would be thanks, but no thanks.
I like my piles of rock and crazy obsessiveness lol..!
