I have 4 razors (1 dovo bone handled, 1 dovo paka wood, 1 Edward Weck, and 1 C&M), 2 brushes ( i am looking at purchasing a silvertip soon), 1 shaving bowl, 1 shaving mug, and 1 scuttle on its way from Sara Bonnyman. Of the 4 razors only 3 are shaveable. 1 is broken down and being refurbished. I have to admit i have been looking at Johns razors and trying to find a way to justify a revisor to my wife . If anyone has some good excuses send them my way, hehe

Thanked: 2I think I've got between 80 and 130 or so? Several have been disassembled, others are boxed up or sitting out on shelves. I've got about 10 shave ready. They are a mix of vintage/antique Ivory and Bone specimens and new Dovo's (Red Bone, Pearlex & Stainless). I picked up all the old ones, my wife got me all of the new ones.
Also dozens of mugs and scuttles.
Dozens of brushes.
Dozens of DE razor blade "banks".
Odd type DE razors like "lather catchers" and "prison safe DE's"
Strops and stones
And numerous items of Barber curiosities like blood letting tools, DE blade stroppers and more.

Thanked: 0I have between 30 and 40 ... depends on counting, a few are still waiting for restoration, a few are waiting for new scales ...
I began with a Dovo Favorite for 86,-- Eur
Then I saw the necessity for the Dovo to get a partner, so I bought a Dovo Junior 41,--Eur
Then I went to a street market in Stuttgart an bought two razors 10,-- Eur each - to look if they could beat the Dovos ... they could ...!!!
Then I got the CD from Bill and an ebay account ...
Now I have 12-14 in daily rotation and I like it very much - because each of them shaves a little different, but they are all really good str8s
Ähh btw what do you think is the most seldom used one?
... your are right

With the Imperial that I won in the Giveaway, I now have four.
1. Dbl Duck Dwarf 9/16". Bought from a local barber supply January 1977.
2. C. V. Heljestrand 4/8" bought from Stoddard's Cutlery, Boston, MA somtime in 1983.
3. Henckels 5/8" bought on Ebay a few years ago.
4. The above mentioned Imperial 5/8" honed by Lynn. My benchmark for sharp.
The old Henckels was the dullest and I'm trying to improve my honing skills with it before I tackle one of the others. I worked on it quite awhile last night w/ two hones and strop. Did a hanging hair test w/ it & it cut it; not as easlily as the Imperial, but I'll give it another turn at the strop and try it out in awhile. I'm kind of glad my older son hijacked my Merkur HD Slantbar recently. I'm enjoying getting back into the str8 shaving. These were all I used when I went through a long period wearing just a mustache. With a full beard I found the HD easier to fit around the edges of it. Now w/ mustache & goatee I feel I have room to work again!
